Memorial Fund - Phyllis Ann "Ariell" Griekspoor

Phyllis Ann Griekspoor, whose chosen name was Ariell, passed away on September 2, 2023 at the age of 72. She was born in Wichita, KS on December 9, 1950 to Vernon and Eileen (Gates) Griekspoor, Ariell was the second oldest of five siblings. Ariell was a vibrant and independent woman and an accomplished clay artist. She lived in several cities, including Charlotte, NC, Chicago, IL, and Mendocino, CA, in which she refined and enhanced her art. Ariell was preceded in death by her parents and older sister, Carol. Survivors include her partner, Gert Rasmussen, brothers Bruce and Brian, sister Donna, nephews Derek Pickens, Matthew Griekspoor, and Timothy Griekspoor, nieces Emily Griekspoor and Anna Griekspoor, two great-nephews and two great-nieces, and longtime friend, Debra Salts. A private family service has been held. A memorial has been established with The Clayworks at Disability Supports Disability Supports 501 E. Northview McPherson, KS 67460
